The Y-Team section of the Brigade caters for children aged between 7 and 10 years. Here at St. Andrew's they meet every Friday night between 6pm and 7.30pm.
| This section of the Company offers a wide range of activities to suit the needs of this lively and enthusiastic age group. These include: games, Christian teaching, a comprehensive badge scheme, arts and crafts, an introduction to basic drill and an opportunity to learn to play instruments in preparation to joining the Company Band. As part of the Brigade's mission to extend the Kingdom of Christ, we encourage the children to think about God and the Christian message by sharing stories and experiences, and this forms an important part of each Company night. |  |

The Y-Team badge scheme has recently undergone some major changes. Members now work towards collecting awards in four areas: Helping Others, Exploring the Christian Faith, Discovering God's World and Doing Things Together. These incorporate a number of activities and games, including an introduction to team building (a theme continued through the older sections of the company). In addition to Company activities all our members are encouraged to take part in a wide range of Battalion and National events.
